Insurance Information
The Affordable Care Act states that breastfeeding support, supplies, and equipment should be covered without co-pay or deductible, for the duration of breastfeeding. Insurance companies vary in their coverage of breastfeeding support. We suggest that you call your insurance provider to confirm what is provided for breastfeeding coverage. Sometimes you may be given an exception for an out-of network provider if they do not have in-network providers.
Payment for the in-home prenatal education class and lactation consult is expected at the time of visit. Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, or card, including FSA. We will provide you with a SuperBill listing the specific codes for the services provided that you may chose to submit to your insurance company with a request for reimbursement.
